Diabetes Education Class

Do you or a loved one need better control of your diabetes? Maybe you have never attended Diabetes Education, or it’s been several years since you last attended a class. Let us help you better manage your diabetes and get better control.

Classes are taught by a Registered Nurse and Registered Dietitian, specially trained in diabetes. Information presented includes the natural progression of diabetes, healthy diet and carbohydrate counting instruction, diabetes medications, blood sugar monitoring, treatment of low blood sugar, long-term complications, exercise, and goal-setting. Materials will be provided.

One guest per participant may also attend. Most insurances will cover the cost of the class (a co-pay or deductible may apply). A physician referral is required to bill insurance.

Please contact the AGH's Diabetes Education office at (269) 686-4088 to register or for any questions.
