AGH Seeks Nominations for 2017 Spirit of Women Awards

Do you know a young girl who can be recognized as a great role model? Or a woman that takes action when she sees room for improvement? Can you think of a woman who has shared her time and talent making a significant contribution to an individual, a group, or the community?

Allegan General Hospital’s Spirit of Women program and the Allegan General Hospital (AGH) Foundation are seeking out girls and women who have done just that. Nominations are being accepted for the 2017 AGH Spirit of Women Awards, which recognize these unsung heroes for their acts of service in their community.

“The Spirit of Women Awards were designed to celebrate the accomplishments, achievements, and “spirit” of girls and women in our region,” said Jennifer Dentler, AGH Spirit of Women Coordinator. “It’s an awards program for the unsung heroine of everyday life, someone who has made an important contribution or overcome challenging obstacles.”

Nominees are individuals who devote themselves, through their example, to making their communities healthier, safer, and more inspirational places to live. The winners will be selected based on the contributions they have made to their community and on the impact they have made on the lives of others. Winners will be recognized on Thursday, October 19, at Girls’ Night Out.

To submit an online nomination, go to and fill out our online nomination form by Saturday, August 26, 2017.
